manufacture communication instrument cards for local telecom company as well as export to Europe
countries.
Currently situation -
we are using SYSMAN (customized) software running on Digital vax
system
throughout the whole factory but it not success. Some part the inventory keeptrack
being maintained by
Microsoft access running on WINnt(TCPIP)
Problem : 1. No integration among all department on inventory control
2. No coordination on shop floor control
3. Unable to control and decide quantity of raw material need for production
4. Powerful communication (we have Lotus notes email through-out the whole Marconi Corporation) but
no efficiency on the delivery of information
5. Unable to meet shipment schedule on finished good material.
6. The work force is not running on the full capacity and the facilities (computer system etc) is not in fully
utilization.
